Dear Nepalsaver, I am more than glad to see you have finally open your eyes. One quick suggestion for you don't give up so fast. And please don't undermine yourself with some class less cheap monkeys.I have to tell you I wasn't even sure if you were asking for help or you were just trying to fuel some blinded authority worshipping agenda here.I wish you all the best in your effort to help nepal(not monarchy). Our country was cursed not crushed by "sati" if thats what you meant by bringing up the issue here.Crush has a completely different meaning.I am sure you know what led to the curse. That same royal family that you are nurtured by and told to act as you do for their clan maintainance. What kind of book do you read and what kind of book are you preaching here for us to read. You look like a modern day royal palace missionary. What is your defination of real democracy?Where common nepalese have no say? All the best,

i hate it when ppl label nepal a sati-cursed land. it's utter bullshit, and just goes to show the kind of fatalistic pessimistic attitude (not to mention blind-faith in some stupid old wives tale) that people have. this is the kind of attitude that prevents us from progressing.

yeah, mr. zalimsingh is absolutely correct!!!!!!!! we nepalese are the worst pessimistics than people of any other country, that's why we lag so behind... and nepalese are so good at guessing, always guessing things and guff marring than really doing any actions!! and back biting of others who are doing some things!!

mr veekas, i did not generalize by saying that all nepalese are pessimistic. rather, what i meant is that saying nepal is sati-cursed reveals a pessimistic attitude about the person who says it. many nepalese i know are pretty optimistic people.

zalimsingh, noted your message. but... when i said nepalese are pessimistic, i mean most nepalese are pessimistic about Nepal not about his personal life, career and other things....they have lost all hope for wellbeing of nepal... i would love to hear how does your optimistic nepalese around you think about nepal??

ppl have different opinions on what will eventually happen. only time will tell. i personally think that like most things in the universe, the state of things in nepal is cyclical. i guess we had a period of relative peace and prosperity, and now we are going through a civil war that threatens to tear the fabric of our country apart. what i am optimistic about are a) social factors. even thouhg there are remnants of teh caste system, it is not that significant. i for one can say that within my socio-economic group, ppl have respect for one another. also, all of us have a sense of patriotism, and if given the chance most of us would unite do our little bit. b) economic factors. our region is going thru an unprecendeted growth phase right now. china and india's economic growth can only mean good things can happen. regional trade alone can bring growth rate back up significantly. even though nepal is in dire straits right now, growth is around 2-3%. i am sure things are going to get worse politically, but in the long run, one has to be hopeful. i guess there is no other option. what are you gonna do?

I am optimistic minus the establishment of the current political scenario.I am optimistic minus the violent maoists and their ruthless war-tactics.I am optimistic minus the institution of monarchy in Nepal.I am optimistic minus the corrupt leaders of political parties especially the india-driven congress and its despotic leadership.I am optimistic minus the dogmatic beliefs and the blind crowd that are so afraid to change their mindset( sati curse included).I am optimistic minus some royal missionaries that we have to encounter at this site quite often. That does make an optimist Nepali,I believe.

well you want to talk about history well let us see from prithivi narayan shah his salary per day was rs 1 at that time and when he went to combine all of the nepal he didn't use his money. u must have read the story what he did. he asked advise from a clobber how to club the people so he took rs 1 from all of the gorkha which he made pretty rs 12000-13000 at that time and he did go for a war and well he looted all of the other people of their wealth pratap singh shah well most of his time he was doing all his tantrik shitty stuff and fooling with all the maids which they clamied was their property and surely he died after only ruling for 2 years won't be surprised though rana bahadur shah well he looted nepalese wealth and took them to kashi with him and once he was out of money he took loan from the sahu and maharjhan from there and nepalese govt had to pay his debt giribana juddha bir bikram shah well he did too die young i wonder why? rajendra bir bikram shaha well he wasn't even concerned about his junta which he clamied so he gave all his power to his queen and he was merry making while the prime minister and all did the work which he used to get jealous of so finally he was sent packing to kashi too with 13 lakh worth of jweallery and 5 lakh of cash only that it was finished within 4 years and he came back to again proclaim the country as his but was taken prisioner and sure he died being a prisioner surendra bir bikram he was a butt of joke playing with people's life for his entertainment i can only think what he did to all of his praja when he didn't hesistate to give order to captain at that time janga bahadur to jump from trisuli bridge or dive in bahara barse khola trilokya bir bikram he wanted to get back what his dad had given to ranas but poor basterd coun't even survied one year more to become a king well his contribution was zero prithivi bir bikram well if smoking weeds junkie was your type of king he is your man tribuvan bir bikram india bhagera nepalese congressle war jitnai lageko bela aaba tah lukhnu hudaina bhanera war nai bandha garidiyo mahendra well sabai development ko credit nali nepal ma kaam nai nahune bhaye pachi nepal ma 17 saal pachi j j develop bhayo sabai ma yaslai credit diyo birendra lutuwa kukur nepalese people le patan ra bhaktapur and kritipur lai ganatantra ghosit gare pachi nihurera democracy ghosit garera ahile saab credit lidaicha he was so good if he wanted he didn't have to give the democracy bhanne sunincha but again if he didn't leave his grip royal family wouldn't have had existed i wish he didn't bow down we didn't have to worry about royal now dipendra well no comments gyane baule j j garyo tehi gardai cha and he's proud it's what he can only think and he think nobody notices it well looking at 12-13 pusta nobody was worth in the throne it's just because we people weren't given any education our fore fathers had to follow him and there are people like save nepal who are proud to still think raja bisnu ko avatar ho and all those religious shit
