RSVP, why do you ask that question? Are you pregnant or something? Do *not* circumcise your child. The trend these days in the United States is this: people are moving away from circumcision as more and more people are realizing that it is an inhumane practice and can lead to complications. Some babies have even died due to infections.
It's like this: Muslims and Jews circumcise their kids. Christians don't do it. In the United States, most males are circumcised, while in Europe they're usually not circumcised.
There is *no* concrete evidence to suggest that circumcision is a healthy practice. People who say otherwise are not thinking scientifically. Some researcher in the UK recently found out that circumcised kids are less prone to HIV. I think it's a bunch of bull.

So the bottomline: parents are less likely to circumcise their kids these days. And what's with the goddamn double standard? Why is female circumcision considered inhumane? Understand what I'm saying? Might it be because male circumcision is a religious practice while female circumcision is not?
So I feel sorry for all those Nepalis who have a stump for a penis. Tsk tsk tsk. You should sue your parents for that. You had no hand in the decision-making process. Well, I am 26 now in the US,and had a circumcision when I was 20-21 in Nepal. I did because it affected my sexual activity.The forsekin really bothered me and I decided to get rid of it at the Teaching Hospital. I couldnt walk or think about sex for couple of months as the stiches would stretch and hurt like hell. Circumcision has been great since, as it helps to keep the Penis clean and stays clean.

I think it is hygienic and great during sex. I wish it was done earlier , but no regret.

I know you are trying to say that circumcision is inhuman, echoing what I was emphasizing in the first place, but know this; when I stated about female circumcision in some parts of Africa, it was not done because it was "supposed" (or de-facto) to be healthy. It was primarily done to females so that they will not have sexual urge, damaging or destroying their sensitive part in their genital region; implying that it was something crueler and negatively disproportionate than male circumcision.

On another note, to eliminate discrimination against one gender, we need not be equally discriminative to another. Thus, double standard rule does not apply here.

Anyways, this thread is too interestingly obnoxios ;) to talk about the cruelty I was refering to. I should just be amused and make the lady's intention a success, which was the whole point IMO. :)

Dalli Resham is talking about pulling of foreskin backward. It's also called kinda circumcised. It's not actully circumcised like Muslims does. I had some Muslim friends n' they told me that it was their pain in ass for few months when they were circumcised by Hajam.

if a grown man is circomcised the skin taken out will be as big as a 3 by 5 inch post card when spread out wich is more than half of the penile skin.

Circumcision is when you surgically remove the tip of the foreskin. If you can't pull your foreskin backwards, you have a medical problem. Go see a doctor.
