Pashupatinath shrine installed in US

KATHMANDU, March 1 - The construction of a temple of Shree Pashupatinath was completed on the holy occasion of Mahashivaratri on Sunday by the Hindus in Houston, Texas, USA.
The efforts of the volunteers from Nepali and Gujarati communities of the Shree Radha Krishna Organization and Nepalese Association of Houston (NAH) have finally culminated to fruition to construct this pagoda-style temple.
The Shivalinga for this landmark temple where Radha Krishna and Lord Shiva co-reside in the same premise was brought from Bhaktapur, according to the NAH. This is the first temple of its kind.
The opening ceremony of Shree Pashupatinath temple in Houston was graced by Shree Acharya 108 Tahal Kishor Maharaj, also known as Guruji.
The installation ceremony which was marked by a 108 Maha Rudra Yagna and 1008 Bel Patra Abhishek saw devotees from all over the US and UK throng the temple, wave after wave, in a jubilant, festive mood.
”This temple sets a beautiful example of the Nepali and Gujarati communities coming together to achieve a common goal,” Dr. Rajendra Shrestha, president of the NAH said on the occasion.
Shrestha also gave an account of the Pashupatinath in Nepal while announcing the forward plan for the second phase of the construction of the temple.
