With the proclamation of nepal as a secular in many palces of nepal there have been protest against current decision. Some of the group has welcomed this decision but more extrimist like shiva sena nepal has made strong protest against them. Making nepal secular was the agenda of Maoist. People seems divided. I see this issue of religion getting worse in the future. I still think this is one decision that was uncalled for.

For the identity of Nepal, Nepal should be Hindu country. Else we may have religious problem like India. Minorities should respect 85% hindu. However the laws should be equal to all. Those christian, buddhist which is as a part of hindu in Nepal, muslim should ask other such states to be secular too. Muslims areproud that Pakistan....... are muslim countries. christian are proud that England......are christian countries. Wherever you go in Nepal You see Hinduism. So, There is no point to object Nepal as Hindu State. ALL Hindu should object this move of parliament. If anybody feels it should besecular, Let there be democratic voting.

I congratulate all the supporter of Secular Nepal.U r dreams are coming into reality.peaceful nepal under secular nepal. Get ready for blood bath in the name of Secular nepal. Not that i am against secular nepal. Is Name secular great or attitude of people towards religion??? I always stressed this fact :Unless u change the mentality of people ,radical changes invites violent consequences. And for others like karmapa.... if u are so sure that nepal will be oust of hinduism.then lets vote!!!don't hide under commies camp and agenda.

Its good to see someone protesting against this uncalled decision. I am sure even neplese muslim organizations will ask for rollback of this decision once it is clear that hindus want it. The name does not matter. It is the laws that matter. A hindu nepal without any discrimination against other religions is what I would vote for. I am sure if muslims or christians were more than 70% in nepal then they would have wanted to name the country islamic and christian countries respectively.

I am against the decision to make Nepal a secular state. I agree this was an uncalled decision to please the maobadis. GPK is doing anything/everything to please the maobadis and making it easier for them to be the absolute state power

SPAM SHOULD BE KILLED OR KEPT BEHIND BARS, IDEALLY SPEAKING. I KNEW IT WOULD BE SOMETHING OMINOUS FOR THE NEPALESE AS SOON AS THE KING GAVE UP POWER UNDER INDIAN PRESSURE.

you cant erase Hinduism from its root. It will always be there, guys. Even Girija is against doing this, many leaders are against it. But however it happened. You know everything is fair in politics. But with this, Nepali people will not let the grass grow under their feet. But choice of Hinduism or secular state has already become a hard nut to crack for most of the nepalese. Nepalese are peace hungry people, perhaps will digest it for the sake of stable nepal. So, it is up to you guys to find it out. Because future of Nepal lies on the shoulder of you guys.

Hey matyangro how can you say girija was against doing this? If he was why did he do it? This guy is a cheater. I read that he called the army cheif and said some of the points will not happen. It was just one day before he announced that. At the same time he threatened the army saying Indian army will take over if they did not support each step. Next day he declared it. This guy has always done rajniti with a lie. He has looted a bank and hijacked a plane. What can you expect of him. For a proper Nepal guys like girija, shitaula, mahat, deuba should go.

Massive rally and meet was organised in Birgunj against secular state. lakhs of people from villages participated. Shiva sena nepal. Vishwa hindu parishad nepal, Vishwa hindu yuva sangh, pashupat sena nepal etc have now declared that they are going to hold countrywide protests and if needed sashastra pratikar against this declaration. Extremist hindu groups in India and BJP have all vowed to support this movement. Now the peaceful religious harmony in Nepal will be history. Good job done by SPAs and MBs.

yes, nepalese army will not fair well under other generals (such as Prachanda??) as oppose to King. The Army is extremely used to being under the king, unless the executive changes the entire chain of current commands. all generals and colonels will have to be stripped and some majors (who one in a hundred would like GPK and i am sure, nepalese amry does not like GPK or any other govt executive). The only solution, if the nepal army doesn't support GPK and his crew, then GPK will have to use the Indian Army - which would be the saddest day in the history of Nepal.

mr amrit, how can you say girija was against doing this? If he was why did he do it? I can feel their way of politicking. I can read their psyche. Just take this issue with your cool mind then you will find out the reason why I said that. you are right, Nepals leaders are scoundrels in evey angle.these leaders are acting on behalf of someone else. The leaders are taking their lives in their hands--meaning taking greater risks by doing everything hastily. Have these politicos had wisdom, dextirity, feeling of oneness, Nepal wouldn't be what Nepal is today--i.e at crossroads. I dont go after newspaper, articles--, i have my own opinions and explanation not like you. I dont believe in all the propagandas prepared by press--they have an axe to grind.
