Hi friends, I have applied for Canadian immigration from Korea ( by post 5 months ago) with all required documents and fees. According to their website, I would have recieved their acknowledgement of recieving my application with in a month. However, it has been over 5 months and they have not yet informed whether they recieved it or not........ I would have taken a long breath if they had just informed the reciept with a file number or a rejection letter.......but i did get neither....... Will anyone kindly inform me that how long they take to inform the reciept of application and assign file number?......Is my anxity is genuine or am I being overly anxious when there is no matter to worry?

hello khbhandari, one of my friends had applied for the same and did not receive confirmation for a long time. eventually confirmation was received and he was informed that it was due to high volume of application received by the embassy ( he sent it to delhi from japan). what about writing to the concerned autority (intermittently) and hopefully you will receive a reply. he was also told that the whole process of evaluation of his application might take upto 3 years! good luck. i myself am thinking of moving to canada as i like this country's natural beauty. anyone knows if it is any easier if immigrating from the uk?
