Seeking advice/suggestions from anyone with knowledge/experience with adoption to US from Nepal. Intended adoptee's one surviving parent wishes to have the child adopted. Nepali laws restrict adoption if
adoptive parent(s) have children of same gender and/or if
adoptee is older than the biological children.
How difficult would it be to obtain waiver, navigate nepali beaurocracy?
Any additional suggestions would also be appreciated.
Dhanyabaad (for Nepalis: that's Thank you - in Nepali)

Its almost impossible to adopt any from Nepal, but if the child is in US already.

People have been adopting own relatives, to bring to the US.

Would anyone have something of substance to contribute to the discussion ?
"Chidren over 18" aren't children - even in the us
Relatives may be adopted, of course - as long as they meet the criterior
