I am in Kansas.

If you have already completed two semesters, you can apply for EAD (employment authorization document) thru your international advisor. International students with temporary economic hardship can apply for work permit. Once you get the EAD, you can apply for SSN eventhough you don't have a job ready on-campus.

meet your international advisor... find some place (in campus) where they want to hire student workers, or if you are really good in science or maths... you can apply for peer tutoring..

hey guys , I am more unlucky than you guys because since 2 years I am in USA in F1 and still don;t have SSN. The college where I go to they don't provide any on campus job for an international student. I was thinking to apply for Economic hardship too but I heard it has become mor harder nowdays to get approved for this one too and cost is really high too 340 bucks. And I had talked to my adviser about CPT and he said they don;t have CPT programme in our college.

So , please dude help me out what can I do to obtain SSN. Which way will be the best.
