I think poor kids of Nepal can benefit with these new computers.

Peru is poor country like Nepal. Nepal's government can imitate them. It could be a milestone in the field of IT technology in Nepal.

I had read somewhere that  the final testing of the $100 laptop is going on in several countries including Nepal.

Maybe the result would help us determine the benefits the machine would bring.

The founder of the project One laptop Per Child (OLPC) believes that it would have revolutionary effect in the world and most particularly in the developing countries. However, there are critcs who say that the laptop is not the priority and the focus should be on the basic infrastructure like classroom and other amenities.

I am really enthusiastic about its impact on the socio-economic condition of the developing world. In reagards to the debate whether Nepal should be joining the bandwagon or not my opinion is that we should wait and see.
