uscis nebraska service center received my opt application on oct. 30. But I haven't yet heard about the approval for my application. is there n.e one who had applied for opt at the nebraska service center after oct. 30 and have their application already approved??

how long does it usually takes to get it approved  ? any help?

Usually, OPT applications take three months to get approved, but since the INS is overloaded with different sorts of application right now, it might take a little more longer to process your application. To obtain accurate estimate on your case, visit www.uscis.gov and check on the estimated time processing for the Nebraska Center.

They had received my application on 15th of Oct and I got the card on 23rd of Dec. From when should your OPT be effective??

I was in similar deliema for last one month. I applied on 9th october and 4th january, I recieved email that they are still processing and it will take me one more month......

Dont worry, this thing take more than 3 months. Mine is taking almost 4 months.

my opt was supposed to start from jan 3rd. but they haven't approved it yet and its jan 5th today. . now when it finally gets approved, will it still start from jan 3rd or will they change the starting date
