I heard that there are literally hundreds of nepalese in west hartford. I went there once and had some food at Taste of India-the people who work there are Nepalese! You might just get a glass of lassi for free!! Try it out!!

There are many Nepalese in greater Hartford area. I haven't met many since I moved near to Hartford six months back. I suppose there are 25-30 families and many more living singles. Nepalese population is mostly concentrated in West Hartford area, where schools are good. There are few other families scattered in nearby cities like Wallingford, New Haven and Middletown. Two Taste of India restaurants (one in West Hartford and the other in Windsor Locks) are operated by Nepali enterpreneurs. If you go a bit south, there is Haveli India in Middletown which is owned by another Nepali enterpreneur. If you would like to visit a temple, there is one in Middletown, off highway 9 (Exit 11).

Have a nice stay in Hartford.

I havd tried in craigslist and all, no trace of nepalese. I found a organisation that sells nepalese jewellery, which is called mahila :) thats all!!!
