How ABOUT this---- I brought my mom over here for treatment. And, government was responsible for it. However, the disease found to be different and the government denied to treat it. So, I had to take her to Emergency. I didn't use my social security but I was the one to take her to the emergency. She signed the responsibility paper. I think the billed amount is almost $15000. She went back to Nepal. And, I can't afford to pay that bill. However, I am planning to go back home in december break. Do you guys have any idea if I will have any problem regarding my mom's unpaid bill?

Hope to get serious answers.

It may be risky for  d_pak  if  he has to apply for visa  in Nepal in order to return to US.
But for deathisafteru as long as you have not used ur SSN and your name does not appear on the bill then u should not worry about that bill.

Hey Dpak

What  happens will depend on ur luck. I was not lucky coz i got in trouble cuz of same thing and m still fighting my case with immigration. But my friend who was travelling with me got away with it ,we both had work related Misdemeanor A. They told me the day  we work we r technically out of status and told me we knew we can't do that. They caught me while I was coming back to the US, so be careful and go for legal help.

Good Luck.

I haven't seen that bill yet. So, I don't know if my name is there. They are calling me frequently, but I am just ignoring the calls.
