Can someone tell me how easy/difficult it is to get a visa at the Kathmandu Airport for foreigners? Is it better to get the visa from the Nepalese Embassy in USA before the departure or it is ok to wait till the arrival at Ktm and get the visa at the airport there? Thanks

Get it in KTM. A lot of my friends got their visa in KTM and it was no problem. But I believe you need some photocopies of passport and some passport size pictures.

The reality/practice might be so but if I were the authorized person, I would not give visa on the airport, especially to the US counterpart. I would require them to make a disciplined line in the mid summer day right in-front of our embassy in US for at least 4 straight hrs. That would make a perfect "poetic justice".
