Let's assume he makes 100% profit from the hot dogs. Then he should sell 5000 hotdogs per day minimum i.e. 1.8 million hotdogs per year. If there are 5 million visitors, atleast 35% visitors should stopby there.

There is an Arabian Guy who sells Hot Dog right outside of my office in the corner of the street, I bet that guy makes a lot of money. Every time I pass by, he is busy selling the hot dogs. In a way, hot dog aint a bad business in NYC.

yeah that's true, but then the dumplings/pot stickers/gyoza have closer association with chinese/japanese/korean association.  It is hard to speculate whether that's a good thing or not.  On the one hand people are familiar but on the other people are not familiar with your type of product.  Only way to find out is to make the jump.  Do you have the business plan and financing in order?

Wages: $12/hr * 12 hrs a day (work hour) * 364* 2 (for both shops) = $104832

Misc expenses: $50,000/year

Total Expenses = $1118832

Net profit per year = $1456000-$1118832 = $337168

$327K per year... NOT BAD
