I want to know what happens if asylum application is rejected, will the F1 status be continued? or will be cancelled? Please, reply if you have credible source. I do not have time to read junk comments. Guchcha Chor!

Your F1 status will be lost and you will be deported! Also, you can apply for that within 4or 6 months of entry to the US. Its very hard to get asylum for Asians now because there was major news about fake asylum cases which the government found out in which dhotis were involved. So you can try!

thank you kindly for your infomation. I am not applying. I am almost THERE by myself.. I don't want to ruin what I've done. Just wanted to clarify things... Can you give me the link (if you have where I can find this information, I tried USCIS).

So, someone said above that the asylum visa should be applied within one year of entry but I have seen people apply it even after few years.. any details on how they did it?
