They r still not out of the world cup though..They r still one Point behind fourth placed Ecudaor..If they finish as it is i.e The side in fifth face a play-off with the fourth-placed team in the North, Central America and Caribbean group. Hope they will make it as i think the Countries in North,Cental America and Carribean Regions are not strong as the Countries in South -America...It will be Interesting who finishes fourth in that Region..Away match in Carribean are pretty tough...Personally i would like to see Messi in the Worldcup..That's what world cup is about..Isn't it interresting that England cruised through the Finals after a Very long time..They have Big Names ,GERRARD,LAMPARD,FERDINAND,RONEY but they rarely perform well for their country...But this time CAPELLO Pulled the Right strings I Guess!!

Argentina will certainly make it to World Cup. Any team that entered the world cup with lot of struggle did better in world cup (as seen from past records). So, I think Argentina will do good this time in World cup. Wait and see...

Argentina’s fate will be decided on their last match, an away game against Uruguay, which is also lurking to qualify for South Africa. Argentina host Peru on their next match and should easily bag 3 points from that game. Therefore, it all comes down to “do or die” situation during the match against Uruguay. Anybody who follows Football genuinely knows that Argentina is not an overrated team. It had and still has abundance of world class players with the likes of Messi, highly regarded as the best player in the world, Tevez, Aguero, and Zanetti to name a few. Personally, I think Maradona’s lack of coaching experience and his unconvincing team selection approach are the main reasons behind Argentina’s recent downfall. He has surprised many fans and players themselves with his selections. Leaving out Real Madrid’s hit man Higuian, Inter’s Samuel and Cambiasso, exclusion of Riquelme due to an on-going feud, and a recent inclusion of Martin Palermo have been taken as laughable acts by many. Being a long time admirer of Argentina, I still believe that they have enough ingredients to make it to the World Cup and will somehow secure a place in South Africa next year. But to achieve any further success, they have to look for another coach. GO ARGENTINA!
