Dear all,

First of all, naya barsha 2067 ko shuva upalakshya ma sabailai hardik shuvakamana.

Anyways, I got into a Canadian university for a master's program. I am currently in Germany, and I want to apply for the Canadian visa in Germany itself.

I have researched about the application process and everything.

Is there anything else I need to know? I ask this here because I believe that there are a lot of experienced souls here.

One thing I was confused about is a weird requirement of "police certificate". So, they say that I should get a character certificate from the police of all the countries that I have stayed in for more than 6 months, after 18 years of age. The problem is, after 18, I was in Nepal. Then, I came to Germany for my bachelor's. So, I should get the police certificate from both Germany and Nepal? Please inform me on this if anyone has an idea.

I would appreciate any suggestions and would love to hear about good / bad experiences.

Thank you..

Yes. You would need the police clearance from both Nepal and Germany. I don't see anything confusing about that.

Requiring to submit police records is NOT a weird requirement. Canadian law bars any foreign nationals from entering Canada who have criminal record or have been convicted of crime(s). The responsibility of proving that you have no criminal record or never been convicted or conviction pardoned falls squarely the applicant who wishes to apply for entry into Canada.
