What is your exception from ANA 2010 Boston Convention July 2-4th? Participated couple times in past and did not see much difference.

ANA 2010 Convention Organizing Committee extends our invitation to each and every one of you. We hope you can be a part of this gathering to celebrate and support our Nepali Diversity, Unity and Prosperity. We would love to see people in their traditional dresses but it is optional. Everyone is welcome regardless.

As morning shows the day, opening ceremony will embrace and celebrate the rich dimensions of Nepali culture. We encourage people from all walks of life to blend in together to celebrate our common heritage, our ancestry, religion and rich culture.

As I have said Time and Again ANA is Nothing but Debauchery of Nepali Culture and Society.

ANA what have you done for Nepal ? Nothing. End of story.  People just go there to talk out of their Asses.

 

ANA in Oakland was a mess. Most young Nepali woman were almost naked as I should say. This was my first time ANA and the last one. ANA aint for family, it looked like its more for guys only. Whatever happened to Nepali Culture? Shameful!! I dont think men went to ANA to really watch the program. They goes there to see woman with almost no dress. 2 girls were wearing a short dress, It was so short that I even saw their undergarment. It was not just me who saw it, there were group of guys who saw it and followed them to the elevator. Oh my god it was 2 gals and all men filled that elevator. I was amazed. My dream of attending ANA crushed into millions that day onwards.

You do not care if you have seen that on a white chick or black chick or Latino chick is that right? So why you want to be critical about Nepali girls, their parents are Nepali but they are American and born and raised in America, why you want them to be like a typical Nepali girls. How long you have not been to Nepal and not seen recent fashion going on in Nepal.

Learn to overlook, it will give you stress and headache. 

I have heard that a lot of Nepalese Politicians are attending this event as "honored guests" and would even be allowed atleast 3 mins speech each !

It is a matter of shame that ANA committee-every other groups involved, instead of using this opportunity to remind those politicians about their job-the job they were elected for, criticizing them for what they did during the past two years (and more) and boycotting them is infact using this opportunity to cash it in their favor by being officious to them.

We got to demand answer from ANA committee including all other groups involved in this convention what they are trying to achieve here by blatantly ignoring the public aspiration and endorsing the power mongers solely responsible for the present deadlock, deteriorating living conditions, continuous Indian encroachment and lot others ??

Who is the ANA and associated groups more concerned about-Nepalese living in US or the rotton politicians most of them labeled "FAILED" in the last 15-20 yrs ??

Boycott Politicians until they come up with their job !

 Personally; ANA is not a political forum and if they wanted to highlight on present situation of Nepal, Chalfal Karyakram will be a better option.

If you want one of them to be in chalfal , who will be your Pick.

JANE DO MITRA FROM ALL THE ANA INVITATION YOU BEEN POSTING IN EVERY THREAD IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE ONE OF THE ORGANIZER. SO DO YOU CARE TO ANSWER PEOPLE'S QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS BESIDE POSTING THE INVITATION, WHICH MIGHT HELP EVERYONE TO DECIDE TO ATTEND THE CONVENTION.

New Jersey: was the second one I participated with my family. As the number grew I found it wilder. I commented on our behavior and posted a thread " Hotel Sheraton"  never ever will let us do ANA convention in future.
