Friends,

what would you do in this situation? I had ordered an item from amazon which was sold by marketplace seller but fulfilled by amazon. It was supposed to get delivered by 23rd December. I tracked the item today and it says "delevered on 22nd December" on my door. But there is nothing on my door. I did ask with my neighbors and they say they haven't seen it.

I have a new neighbor just moved on 2nd floor and use the same main door. I suspect these are the people who grabbed the item (Xmass time, they must have thought something good, but it was just laptop battery) or it could be anybody but i live in very quiet neighborhood, last house in dead end street.

Ok, what is the best way out of this to get the item? any suggestion? thanks.

File a police report as well.

Exactly same thing happened to me the other day.  I had sent a christmas gift to a friend in WV.  The UPS tracking said it was delivered, but she did not receive it.  I sent an email to Amazon apprising them of this situation.  Since it was too late for Christmas delivery, they refunded the cost.  Seems to happen a lot this time around. 

Great. Did contact Amazon, money refund processed. They even asked me to place another order for the same item with next day delivery and shipping charge will be refunded. What a great customer service.

Lesson learned, Never buy anything from ebay or any independent marketplace seller without insurance especially this time around.
