My uncle adopted me when I came to US and I was 17. We hired a lawyer back in Nepal as well as here in US to complete all the paperwork. I am 24 now and currently hold a F1 status/OPT. My question is am I eligible to file for a greencard or a citizenship.
Please comment if you have any knowledge in this matter.

To be considered a adopted child following requirements should be met:
1.You were adopted before your 16th birthday.
2. Your adopting parents had legal custody of you for 2 years before or after your adoption
3. You have resided with your adopting parents for two years before or after your adoption.
If you meet the above requirement your parents can file form i 130 and you wait for visa to be available(maintain your f1 status).
Your question is not clear. How were you adopted ? Also if you were an orphan at the time of adoption you will automatically be a us citizen...
Consult a good lawyer
