Is there any websites that provides free college text book in the online version /pdf ....I tried goggling it, but no luck..plz let me know ! thanks

Well, you spent time on sajha , rather  you should be spending on web. Yes, you can buy text book on web as well you may have used book exchange store in your college or university area,  Find out that too.

Some Ebay seller do sell the pdf version of books that can be purchased online. But, because its illegal, its hard to find. I had found one a couple of years ago and had paid $5 for a $150 book.

This is what i used to do when i was in college. I used to email professors saying that i already had a book for the course but they are an edition older. Almost all professor 99% used to reply me saying its ok and also asked me to consult them if i have any problems finding the materials. Then, i would go on ebay and purchase older edition books. I never had any issues and saved hundreds of dollars.

Try looking for some international ed. though Ebay. They are cheap and contain all the materials as the original.

Also, you can rent the book and send it back when those are due. Go to chegg.com or other websites for rental info. They are cheaper to rent and you do not even have to worry about getting rid of them once your done.

 To be honest it's little hard to find textbooks in PDF version, but it's not impossible. You need to do little work. Here are few sites that i use to find pdf versions of books. Orelse use the google search and put "+ rapidshare" after name of the book, it will redirect to you another website where the books are stored. There are lots of books in rapidshare or you can try megaupload etc.

 Buying college textbooks is always a big issue for students.  They are so darn expensive, some of mine were over $100.  But you need it, what to do?  So, I had to bite the bullet and shell out my hard earned limited dollars.  

One option is, if you have a friend at copy center, you can make photocopies of the book and return it.  I would not recommend it as it is illegal.  But I have heard people do it.

Yes; We used to buy used book from school's book store, and in university town there was another book store where we can buy and sell text book .
Online there are many sites we can buy textbooks, textbooks.com , halfprice.com and so on. As Riten said, we copied on large sheet where we were able to copy two page in one sheet .

Sometimes pople sell on ebay and local craigslist too.

Syanjali are you seriously asking me that question? Are you saying you didn't see nothing wrong (legally) with the question posted? Even Riten acknowledged that it is illegal.

Most textbooks are copyright protected. There are very few who release the copyright burden to scholars and teachers unless it is for monetary benefit, however most restrict you from even copying it. As such, making copies of the entire text book is ILLEGAL! Some sites upload those books w/o writer/publisher’s permission and that is infringement of copyright law.
To ask us about these illegal site is..well..illegal. Comprende Amigo?

Still I do not see it illegal to ask this type of question on sajha, can you elaborate it, but who ever advising need to know if they are advising things lead to illegal. 
I am guessing the thread creater is new and he was surprised to see the cost of text book and seeking help to lowerdown and sustain.
I did not see a simple straight forward answer,  and advise accordingly. There are many used text book site on internate,and we can buy it. We can  check Amazon or ebay or  evenlocal Craigslist. You post an advertise on your school or univeristy bulletin board also Check any one has posted for sale (look at those sticky notes)?
