Do you guys remember any stuffs that you could buy with suki/mohar/rupiya?

Here are some of my lists that we could buy with suki/mohar/rupiya:

·         Suka ( NRS 0.25): 1 orange ball, piap gedi, normal cheapest street ice cream ( with the stick) normal, 1 open layer titaura/mada...

·         MOhar (NRS: 0.50) : 1 yoyo, 1 mango tart , 1 lacto, salaam patti ( I don’t know what you guys call it)..

·         1 Rupiya: 4 orange balls, 2 yoyo, 2 mango tart, 2 lacto, 1 coffee toffee, 1 white rabbit, 1 milk white ice cream ( with the stick) , more salaam patti..

·         2 Rupiya: 1 aam pachan

·         5 Rupiya: 1 Mama chauchau ( with all those prepared chau-chau i.e with spicy stuffs/masala mixed together).

Note: I also remember putting 1 paisa, 5 paisa on naag puja for sticking those coins on the door or wall.

Back when:

I remember purchasing 5 square lopsi ko titaura for 5 paisa.  Lamo titaura was 5 paisa each.  Pustakari and coconut candy used to cost 10 paisa.  This was probably around '81 or '82.

Nowadays:

Just got back from Nepal.  Anything less than Rs.5 is rarely used.  Shopkeepers hand out candy in place of returning Rs.1 or Rs.2 change.   I don't think paisa, sukka, mohar exist anymore.

Woah!! that was way too cheap eventhough we compare the GDP per capita of now and then years.
Like you mentioned, one thing that I dont like is the way shopkeeper hands out candy/other goods instead of returning the exact change.
