Hello fellow Sajha member
I have a question regarding filling out my I-9 form
Here is my situation
1. Currently I am on H1B working for Company A (Consulting) at Company B. Company A filed my H1B on April 2011, which is approved and valid till 2014.
2. Recently Company B filed for my H1B transfer and the case is still in initial review.
3. I know that I do not need to wait for my H1B transfer approval to be in Company B's payroll.
4. I need to fill I-9 form for company B
Here is my question

So far as i am concerned, i think you should fill the approved H1B petition no. and the expiration date.
You can change the information after you got the another h1b transferred approved petition.
For the documents, you will need to fill your social security information and h1b petition information.
Hope that helps!

"Do not run pay check (or move to new employer) until approval of your H1 transfer". I know you can run your pay check with receipt number but in case if Transfer to new employer is denied than there is a chance that you will be out of status immediately. So to be on safe side be with current employer and once transfer is through than you can move to new employer any time.
Regarding I-9:
You need to choose #4 and for second part your employer should take care.
