What do you do if your professor is unhelpful, rude and unhappy when you ask questions?
She is a female though, about 50 yrs old.

You can anonymously complain to the faculty head.

that poor woman is going through a lot of chemical stress (hormonal imbalance), mood swings are normal. take it easy

But I do not want to fail the course just that she is arrogant! I need some way that makes her come into track! She is just a red neck bitch!

This reminds me  one of my chemistry professor who didnt know how to teach. The worst professor that I ever saw. The professor used his solution book to solve numerical problems and could not explain the reasons behind the solution. Sometimes he even could not solve it and used to say, "I will do it tomorrow." But the exam questions looked like I was in MIT. we complained a lot and nthing happened. I heard he is still there teaching. The professor looked like homeless, rude. May b he had allergy with Neplease students..lol coz the class was filled with neplease students and around 10 american students and few chinese among 60 students.

Well, I dont think even if you complain to faculty head it gona work coz part of is ur fault too and you are responsible for ur own study. all you can do is talk with professor and if does not work then either fail or pass the exam. There is no solution behind your problem. It is the reason why you should do some research before taking that professor's class by asking previous students or doing online search in ratemyprofessors.com.
 

Most universities take a survey from the  students on the course and the professor at the end of the semester.  That would be your chance to vent your frustration.  If there are enough like you, your university will likely take appropriate steps.  Prior to that, it is almost impossible to get anything done.  That is the reason why you should ask around and do research on the course and the professor before you register for the class.

By the way, don't put yourself in the gutter mentality.  The professor's gender and age has nothing to do with her performance.

She magically was helpful today! Came across me and helped me with a mathematica file! I assumed that she wanted a better evaluation coming week!! Lol..
