Before I came to the US, everyone talked about the american dream. Still not sure what the american dream is. What is your version of american dream?

My American dream would be making $200,000 a year, Nice House and Nice car :) The dream seems very far away right now.

I suppose it changes with the amount of time one spends in this country. My "American Dream" at this point (in no particular order) is a life where I make enough to afford a mortgage, raise nice kids, take that occasional vacation with the family, be able to visit Nepal on a fairly regular basis and do something to help people in disadvantage there.

At some point of my life, my "American Dream" was similar to yours, then I met corporate america, where time translates to money and $200,000 a year is at least a 70 hour work week, which I simply do not want. But to each its own!

khalisisi, 200K means either you have to be a doctor or be in any other medical profession such as dentist with few years of experience or be in finance with atleast 5 years of exp. or have atleast 10 years of experience in tech industry or have a sucessful business.

Before coming to the US , sexual liberation in the US was definitely one of the things guys looked forward to. Not sure about girls but probably to some extent.

When I came to the US, my friends thought I would be having sex right after I landed in the US. Haha that was a long time back though. It was probably because of the sex scenes in movies and the porn.
