 You have 60 days after the expiration of your i 20. Also most college set deadlines for the application date. Check the college website for more info on that. 

First of all, visa and I-20 (status) are separate entities. Ur visa is good for POE (port of entry) and ur I-20 is good for ur status.

As long as u maintain ur F1 status u sudn’t worry abt ur visa. If u are in status and still have classes to take, u can always extend ur I-20.

U can extend ur I-20 from current school or change ur school with new I-20 with current or new program.

Actually I am exchange student for 1 semester in University of Minnisota Duluth with F1 visa and I have I20 till April 15. So it means I need to transfer my university in another college and get new I20 with in April 15 or I have more 60 extra days for it. I want to know how much time it takes for transferring one university to another? It is easy process or critical? What you think when I need to request for to transfer to my current university?  I want to stay in legal status but I have no information and idea on this matter.. plz let me suggest.

Few questions: Did you finish the degree or do you still need to take classes? Also are you doing bachelors or masters?
If you have valid i 20 till april, you need to start applying to another univeristy as soon as possible because of the deadlines for most universities will be the end of Jan or Feb. Look into the International Students page on the university website and email the admissions assistant and explain in detail your situation and what you would like to do. Ask them the process in detail.
On a personal note when emailing please make sure your grammar is correct and also explain the situation correctly. 

 Right now i am exchange student in bachelor level...and now i am taking class for this semester .. i want to go community college or join english language sothat i can be on legal status.. is there any easy way to do it..
