Why is it always Heats or Lakers who end up with the most sought after players?

It's because of the assets they have that can be moved. Now Lakers will create a matchup nightmare for other western conference teams, especially for OKC. Pau must be smiling somewhere cuz' he still a Lakers.

I ll say its always Lakers. Celtics, Heats and other team do land big name player but not as regularly as Lakers. Especially, LA is the most sough after destination for the top class center from Wilt, Kareem, Shaq to Dwight Howard. I guess its all about Hollywood.

Rahashya, if you talk about most sought after then you have to insert New York there. But why isn't NY getting these talents? Last time I checked Melo was the only big legit threat they signed. Since Ewing, I haven't seen one big superstar going there. Maybe LA management is just so good.
Asset alone won't do it, the player should've the will and motivation to go to that place too. Last time I checked Kobe wanted to continue being the face of Lakers and Howard had an issue with that. I guess that's sorted out during the Olympics?

You are right that asset only can't attract big name player. You got to have better organization and legacy too. LA attracts big name due to Legacy, Hollywood, Winning chance. Newyork is one of the most worst organization among NBA teams.

 Well, the final is  going to between Lakers, Heat or OKC... my pick is the Heat. . but anyway its going to be intresting NBA season. GO HEAT !!!

Since, LA is the team where people want to see them in every year in NBA Finals !!!! So, LA gotta have the championship team no matter what and the Laker's front office Mitch Kupchak and the owner knows more about making the team of such a caliber to win the Championship !!! Let's not forget the LA's NAB final trip on 2008, 2009 and 2010 and so last two years was disatser and the city of LA and the fans and the organizations are not used to Lakers to exit in early MAY !!!! The folks in LA are adjust with the style of watching their team all the way till Mid June !!!! That's why they need to build up a good team !!!
And you know, We have KOBE, he might have good 2 years on him or max 3 years, we just need someone to make the roster more strong so Kobe oculd get his sixth ring and tie with MJ !!!!
Let's not forget about the addition of STEVE NASH !!
The Lakers are the team to beat in 2012 -2013 session !!! I am already excited for the PARADE !!!

 C'on people ..Lakers !!!   have u forgetten about OKC . they have to pass through OKC and they are going to be tough to beat . forget about winning final. there is no chance for Lakers to win even they get there Kobe and Nash are old they cant match up with the young team like Heat and OKC .... Lebron is the best player in the court and they have other big big guns too...   forget about Lakers wining the title.  there's going to one more ring for  Lebron  GO HEAT!!!!
